hey guys a movie theatre in my city cancelled a screening of a series of short films by palestinian directors due to pressure from a petition claiming to represent jewish montrealers who considered it antisemitic due to the title of the series being “from the river to the sea.” the montreal chapter of independent jewish voice canada is circulating their own petition to have the screening reinstated. they’re really close to their goal 2,500 signatures but are still a few hundred away. you can sign it here.

In Super Mario Sunshine, there are pairs of linked graffiti that, if Mario cleans one of them, dispense a Blue Coin from the location of the other. If Mario talks to an NPC on the frame that such a graffiti is cleaned, before the short cutscene that shows the Blue Coin appearing, the game will become unplayable.
The footage shows this occurring in Pinna Park, where Mario talks to the Noki next to the Ferris Wheel right before the Blue Coin scene. When the camera shows Mario again, he is engaged in a conversation with the Noki, who despite being in a talking animation, is not actually saying anything.
The Noki will continue saying nothing forever, with Mario being unable to leave the conversation, requiring the game to be reset.
